Samsung Galaxy Watch 9 40mm Bluetooth

The Galaxy Watch9 40mm is designed for comfort and a compact fit, particularly for smaller wrists.

It features a 1.34-inch Super AMOLED display, a 390mAh battery, 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. Despite its compact size, it provides the major smartwatch, health-tracking and fitness features available in the Watch9 range.

The 40mm model is available in colours including Graphite and Cream, depending on the market.

Key specifications: 40mm case, 1.34-inch AMOLED display, 390mAh battery, Snapdragon Wear Elite processor, 2GB RAM and 32GB storage.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 9 44mm Bluetooth

The Galaxy Watch9 44mm provides a larger display and a larger battery for people who prefer more screen space.

It features a 1.47-inch Super AMOLED display with 480 × 480 resolution and a 445mAh battery. Its larger screen gives you more room to view notifications, workout information, health insights, applications and custom watch faces.

The 44mm version is available in colours including Graphite and Silver, subject to regional availability.

Key specifications: 44mm case, 1.47-inch AMOLED display, 445mAh battery, Snapdragon Wear Elite processor, 2GB RAM and 32GB storage.

Faster Performance with Snapdragon Wear Elite

The Galaxy Watch9 introduces Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Wear Elite platform, designed to improve responsiveness and performance across compatible smartwatch applications.

Start workouts, navigate menus, open supported applications and review Samsung Health information with fluid interactions.

The newer platform is also designed to support on-device AI workloads, helping enable more advanced assistant interactions and intelligent features.

Combined with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage, the Galaxy Watch9 provides space for compatible apps, watch faces and other smartwatch content.

Bright Super AMOLED Display with Sapphire Crystal

The Galaxy Watch9 features a vivid Super AMOLED display protected by sapphire crystal glass.

The 40mm model features a 1.34-inch display with 438 × 438 resolution, while the 44mm model features a 1.47-inch display with 480 × 480 resolution.

With peak brightness of up to 3,000 nits, the display is designed to remain readable in bright sunlight and outdoor conditions. Always-On Display support lets you check supported watch faces and information without repeatedly waking the screen.

Personalise the watch with compatible faces, colours, complications and bands to suit your everyday style.

Modern Cushion-Shaped Design and Comfortable Fit

The Galaxy Watch9 retains Samsung’s distinctive cushion-shaped watch case with a slim profile of approximately 8.6mm.

Its Dynamic Lug system helps the watch sit securely against the wrist, while the redesigned Sport Band uses an air-pocket structure for a comfortable feel during daily wear and overnight sleep tracking.

The 40mm model weighs approximately 31.5g without its strap, while the 44mm model weighs approximately 34g. This lightweight construction makes the watch suitable for continuous use across work, rest and exercise.

Unlike the Galaxy Watch8 Classic, the standard Galaxy Watch9 does not have a physical rotating bezel. Navigation is handled through the touchscreen and side buttons.

Advanced Health Insights with Samsung Health

The Galaxy Watch9 combines Samsung’s BioActive Sensor platform with updated software designed to provide a more informative picture of your health, activity and recovery.

Available features include:

• Heart-rate monitoring: Track heart-rate information during everyday activities and compatible workouts.
• Sleep tracking: Review sleep patterns, duration and supported sleep measurements.
• Sleep Coaching: Receive personalised guidance based on your sleep data and habits.
• Vitals: Compare five tracked signals collected during sleep against your personal baseline.
• Energy Score: Review a daily readiness estimate based on supported sleep and activity information.
• Heart Health Score: Access a lifestyle-focused score and personalised guidance using supported indicators.
• Fitness Index: Review fitness-related information based on supported activity and body measurements.
• Daily Cardio Load: Understand how recent activity and estimated recovery relate to your exercise routine.
• Sleep Apnoea Risk Detection: Access supported risk-detection features where permitted and available.
• Body composition: Review compatible estimates such as body fat, skeletal muscle, body water and BMI.
• Stress and breathing features: Monitor supported stress-related information and use guided breathing activities.

These features are intended for wellness and fitness support, not for diagnosing or treating medical conditions. Some features require a Samsung account, Samsung Health, a compatible Android phone and sufficient setup data. Availability varies by country, phone compatibility and software version.

Smarter Workouts and Fitness Tracking

The Galaxy Watch 9 is designed to support a broad range of fitness activities.

Track supported workouts, monitor your activity, review training progress and use built-in dual-frequency GPS for outdoor route tracking.

Its fitness insights help you understand how your body responds to exercise and when recovery may be useful. Features such as Fitness Index and Daily Cardio Load use supported measurements and recorded activity to provide more context than a basic step counter.

Whether you enjoy walking, running, cycling or gym workouts, Samsung Health helps bring your activity information together.

Enhanced Sleep Tracking and Recovery

Get a better understanding of your sleeping habits with the Galaxy Watch9’s sleep-related tools.

The watch can track supported sleep data and help identify patterns over time. Sleep Coaching offers personalised recommendations, while Vitals compares selected overnight measurements—including heart rate, heart-rate variability, respiratory rate, skin temperature and blood oxygen—against your personal baseline.

The watch also supports Energy Score and other wellness insights that help you assess your overall daily readiness.

For the best experience, wear the watch during sleep and allow sufficient time for it to collect baseline information. These insights are intended for personal wellness and do not replace medical evaluation.

Google Gemini with Raise-to-Talk

The Galaxy Watch9 brings Google Gemini to your wrist with a convenient Raise-to-Talk interaction.

Lift your wrist and speak to the assistant to ask compatible questions, get help with supported tasks and interact with compatible applications. You may use voice commands for reminders, information searches and supported productivity actions.

Gemini availability depends on account configuration, network access, language, compatible apps and regional support.

Wear OS and One UI Watch Experience

The Galaxy Watch9 runs Wear OS 7 with Samsung One UI Watch 9, providing access to compatible apps through Google Play and a smartwatch interface designed around quick interactions.

Customise watch faces, manage notifications, check the weather, set alarms, review calendar events and use compatible applications from your wrist.

The watch can also work with supported Samsung Galaxy services and accessories, making it useful as part of a wider connected-device setup.

Larger Battery Capacity

Samsung has increased battery capacity compared with the equivalent Galaxy Watch8 sizes.

• Watch 9 40mm: 390mAh
• Watch 9 44mm: 445mAh

The larger capacity provides more flexibility for daily activity tracking, workouts and overnight sleep monitoring. Actual battery life depends on Always-On Display settings, GPS use, app activity, mobile connectivity through the paired phone and other usage factors.

The Galaxy Watch9 supports wireless charging with a compatible charging accessory.

GPS and Bluetooth Connectivity

The Bluetooth editions of the Galaxy Watch 9 connect to a compatible Android smartphone for supported calls, messages, notifications, app interactions and data synchronisation.

Connectivity features include:

• Bluetooth 6.0
• Wi-Fi
• NFC
• Dual-frequency GPS
• Supported satellite navigation systems
• Samsung Health synchronisation
• Compatibility with supported Android applications

Bluetooth models do not include the independent cellular connection provided by LTE models. If you want your watch to use a cellular plan independently of your phone for supported calls and data, check that you are purchasing an LTE version rather than a Bluetooth-only model.

Water Resistance and Everyday Durability

The Galaxy Watch9 is designed for everyday wear and fitness activities, with durability features including 5ATM water resistance, IP68 protection and MIL-STD-810H-related durability certification.

These ratings refer to defined test conditions. They do not make the watch indestructible, and water resistance can diminish with age or damage. Follow Samsung’s instructions for swimming, water exposure and device care.
